Senior Financial Planner

Ryan has worked in Financial Services for 27 years and as an Independent Financial Adviser for 22 of them. He started his career at Eagle Star as an 18 year old before moving to an IFA firm in Hove, where he advised for 20 years.

When Ryan joined Pembroke Financial Services in early 2015, what we were looking for the Company to benefit from was his valuable experience and training which has helps Ryan to do the job to best of his considerable abilities.

Ryan has gained Financial Planning Certificates, CeMAP (a mortgage qualification) and more recently the Diploma in Personal Financial Planning.

Ryan believes that he is a ‘General Practitioner’ IFA as he enjoys all parts of the job. He says “If I had to give an area of financial planning which I enjoy the most, it would be asset and portfolio management, which is good because I think that helps with the Investment Committee work that we do at Pembroke.”

Ryan has had an interest in the stock market from an early age and still has today. “I believe the knowledge I have gained from my own stock market participation has proved a benefit to my clients.”

Ryan is a member of our Investment Committee responsible for the UK Equity asset class.

In Ryan’s very limited spare time, he likes to ski with his family and play tennis. He tries to watch as much sport as he can and, when he’s not watching Bloomberg, he enjoys political programmes. Relaxation comes by socialising with friends and family holidays in France.
