Peter Banks joined Pembroke in 2021 after relocating from London and returning to his Sussex roots having grown up in Crowborough and studied at the University of Brighton.
He was attracted to Pembroke because their philosophy and approach to advising clients was the same as his own and believes that this will lead to the best possible outcomes for clients.

Peter’s financial services experience started in 2007 and he has had various support and administrative roles before becoming a Financial Adviser in 2014, and then qualifying as Pension Transfer Specialist in 2015. He can also advise clients who have specialist long term care needs.
His experience includes time spent working for the Financial Ombudsman Service which has given him unusual but valuable experience which he now uses when advising clients.
Peter’s approach is to spend time getting to know clients and to discover what they really want to achieve but also to identify their concerns and worries. Having gleaned this information he formulates a plan which is supported with research and a formal set of recommendations which will help clients to achieve their objectives.
Outside of work Peter enjoys watching and occasionally playing football, going for walks on the beach with his girlfriend, and has a long-standing interest in financial and economic history. Since moving to the Sussex coast, he is also rapidly becoming a DIY expert!
