My career within financial services began 36 years ago, with General Accident. Since then, my financial services experience has been gained via a number of senior roles, leading successful businesses for Zurich, F&C, SEI and Heartwood Investment Management.
Since 2018, I have managed my own consultancy business, advising the boards of a number of Investment Management, Financial Planning and Fintech firms on a range of specialist topics, including mergers & acquisitions.
I have worked with some highly talented people throughout my career, and I have been fortunate to learn a range of skills and been shaped by many experiences which have helped in the growth of many businesses across our sector. I am passionate about building highly compelling, ‘client-centred’ propositions delivered through high quality professional advice teams. One of my key learnings to date is that successful businesses often share similar cultural values, positioning clients at the heart of their decision making.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
– Winston Churchill
When the opportunity came along to join and lead the Pembroke business, it was an easy decision. Having known and respected the business for 30 years, I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to work with the team, and our investment partner, Cow Corner, as we continue to grow the business. By remaining client led and a beacon for value, I believe our clients, and in turn Pembroke, will continue to flourish and I look forward to playing my part.
In my personal time I am constantly active, predominantly playing tennis and cycling. I love both football and rugby, albeit I recognise that these, for me, are now spectator sports! I grew up in Sussex and have to confess to being “Sussex Boy of The Year” in 1985. This led to me trying my hand at rally driving and fuelled my passion for cars – a passion which remains to this day and has likely influenced my son, Cameron.
I have also taken part in several charity challenges over the years, including London2Paris & Coast to Coast cycle events and most recently a ‘Mega Tri’ in aid of The Lewis Moody Foundation.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for all the clear financial advice you have given not only Sue and I, but my family over many years.
I would like to introduce you to my cousin, who I have included on this email. She is looking for someone to support her with setting up a pension/ financial advice… basically the same kind of service you offer me. Pembroke Financial has been fantastic to me over the years, so I recommended you.
I have always found Pembroke friendly and efficient.
Good service, all options explained clearly, good follow up, kept in touch all the way through to the end of the transaction, very aware of how important this was to their client.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the personal and professional service which is much appreciated.
