We’ve recently reviewed our series of Key Guides as usual at this time of year.
These specialist publications provide you with expert content on topics ranging from Pensions freedom to the taxation of investments. Towards the end of last year, Philip Hammond delivered what was to be his first – and last – Autumn Statement and as always, you can rely on our Key Guides for the most topical and up-to-date information around his announcements.
The main areas to look out for this quarter are:
- The taxation of investments
This Guide has been updated to reflect the latest facts and figures. We have introduced a section on Lifetime ISAs and explain that from 2017/18, LISAs will offer the same tax advantages as other ISAs, with the added benefit of a 25% government bonus on subscriptions.
- Workplace pensions and auto-enrolment
We have updated this Guide with the latest facts and figures around those who have been auto-enrolled and been issued with penalty notices. We also indicate the coming changes to the single-tier state pension and have updated the section on ‘eligible jobholders’.
