Don’t Worry! You are in the right place…

Clearly, given lockdowns, restrictions, working from home and technology mismatches in the latter part of 2020, it has been difficult to merge the two Companies but we are slowly getting there and very much looking forward to working together as a team in our aim to make Pembroke one of the very best IFA practices in Sussex.
Our Welcome to Pembroke letter (click here to read) explains the history and the rationale of the two Companies coming together.
Our Investors at Cow Corner have set about a project to create a sisterhood of professional services Companies throughout Sussex with our clients at the very centre of everything we do.
The Group’s philosophy is “we invest in family or entrepreneurial businesses that have already established themselves. We are not trying to build world-beaters or conquer markets, we just want to invest in and help to build, strong and profitable local businesses. We like to invest alongside people. That is not to say that we will not buy a business outright, but we prefer to be in partnership with a management team or founder.”
This is precisely what has happened at GMIFC (now PFS Staplefield).
The only changes to GMIFC, bar the name change and a different access point to your Wrap platform, will be improvements:
- Pembroke will likely have a presence with Galloways (our Accountancy sister Company) in new offices in Haywards Heath in 2022;
- a wide range of expertise is available within the ranks of Pembroke IFAs – mortgages, Equity Release; Defined Benefit Pension Transfer work, expertise in legal-related matters such as Resolution for matrimonial/family law issues;
- Pembroke will be rolling out a Client Portal shortly giving you access to current valuations of your portfolio, secure messaging and document transfer;
- Pembroke will use its enhanced ‘buying power’ to drive down investment costs for its clients;
- the Company’s financial strength, which has always been its core, is now further underpinned;
- our relationship with Galloways Accounting will be enhanced further with joint client seminars and workshops, partnership training of staff and greater use of technology.
