I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I squandered.
– George Best
After 18 months as the Operations Director for an offshore fund management company, Damon joined Pembroke Financial Services in June 2012 as the Practice Manager, responsible for ensuring that the business continues to run in an efficient and compliant way. Damon is the Company’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer and ably assists Keith Bonner, Pembroke’s Compliance Oversight.
Damon says “A typical day for me includes compliance, HR, company finances, and everything else that is required to keep a modern office running smoothly. I can be file checking in the morning, rectifying telephony problems at lunchtime, and helping design and publish new company literature in the afternoon. It is this daily variety that keeps me continuously engaged and on my toes.
Damon holds the Full Financial Planning Certificate and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.
Away from the office Damon is the Founder and Chief Instructor of a karate club, holding the rank of 4th Dan Black Belt which keeps him very active, especially after sitting at a desk all day!
